Die Beamten hatten mit dem geheimen Tunnel einen wichtigen Transportweg entdeckt und einer kriminellen Bande damit die Möglichkeit genommen, Diebesgut nach Mexiko zu schmuggeln. Es blieb nur noch, die mutmaßlichen Schmuggler zu befragen.
