Gun The Man Down, a 1956 motion picture, gave Angie Dickinson a nudge in the spotlight, but she had already been appearing in numerous anthology series before. She won the New Star Golden Globe Award for her appearance in the 1959 film Bravo.
Back in the day, she graced celebrity news tabloids for allegedly having affairs with Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, and John F. Kennedy. Dickinson continued to appear in movies and TV shows going into the 2000s with cameos in Oceans Eleven and Elvis Left The Building. Her portrayal in the film Mending Fences appears to have been Dickinson’s last known role before she retired from the trade in 2009.
